Trump Issues Proclamation Extending Suspension of Entry of Certain Immigrants and Nonimmigrants

President Trump issued a proclamation continuing Proclamations 10014 and 10052, which suspended the entry of certain immigrants and nonimmigrants into the United States in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. The proclamations have been continued until March 31, 2021. DOS provided an update regarding the extension. For more on the extension of the proclamations, see this Forbes article, which includes insights from AILA Director of Federal Litigation Jesse Bless about what the incoming Biden-Harris administration could do to eliminate the proclamations. In other COVID-19-related immigration news, the CDC issued an order requiring a negative COVID-19 test from airline passengers arriving from the United Kingdom.
